What Is Kybella?
Kybella is a prescription injectable made of deoxycholic acid, a molecule your body already produces to help break down dietary fat. Injected into the fat beneath the chin, it breaks the walls of those fat cells. Your body then clears them away naturally over the following weeks.
It is the only FDA-approved injectable for moderate to severe fat below the chin, often called a double chin. Because destroyed fat cells cannot store fat again, results are designed to last once your goal is reached, as long as your weight stays fairly stable.
